POLL: Heinrich Winning

We're winning.

We just received new poll results and despite the fact that Darren White is still better known among the electorate, Martin Heinrich has the lead.

New Mexicans are ready for a change. They're supporting Martin Heinrich because he's a proud Democrat who will stand up for our values in Congress. He is the ally that Barack Obama and Tom Udall need in the U.S. House to work with them to move America toward energy independence, turn our economy around, provide health care for all and bring the war in Iraq to an honorable end.

Make no mistake - while these results are certainly encouraging, we still have a long way to go. Results like these are sure to spook Darren White and his Washington Republican friends. It means they're likely to go on the attack sooner rather than later - because they have no other choice. And, they have the money to do it. You can bet that the $300,000 that Darren's mentor and ally George Bush raised for him and the New Mexico Republicans is going to be spent attacking Martin Heinrich.
